Fiber Optic Cable Technology

Fiber optics is a pure glass that long and thin and the diameter of human hair.
And in its use several optical fiber rolled into one in a place called optical cables and used to deliver digital data in the form of light in a great distance

Core is a thin glass which is a core part of the fiber optic beam delivery where performed.
Cladding is the material surrounding the nucleus that function reflects the light back into the nucleus (core).
Buffer Coating is a plastic coating that protects the fiber from damage.

Type of Fiber Optics Based Mode:

1. Single-mode fiber optic fibers with a very small core (diameter of 0.00035 inches or 9 microns). diameter close to the wavelength so that light that goes into it does not bounce-bounce against the wall cladding.

2. Multi-mode fibers
optical fiber with a rather large core diameter (0.0025 inch diameter or 62.5 micron) that makes the laser in it will be reflected on the wall-reflective cladding which can lead to reduced bandwidth of optical fiber of this type.

How Fiber Optics Work
Initial signal in the form of electrical signals in the transmitter transducer is changed by elektrooptik (Diode / Laser Diode) into light waves are then transmitted via fiber optic cable to the receiver / receiver located at the other end, the receiver / receiver optical signal was converted back into electrical signals by transducer Optoelectronics (Photo Diode / Avalanche Photo Diode).
However, in the course of optical signals from the transmitter to the receiver so that the light attenuation would occur if the transmission distance is much we need repeaters to amplify the signal back.

Types of Fiber Optic used::

- Indoor/Outdoor Tight Buffer

Indoor/Outdoor Breakout Cable

Aerial Cable/Self-Supporting

Hybrid & Composite Cable

Armored Cable

Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH)

Colour code:
Outer casing
In the standardization of color-coded outer sheath (jacket) fiber-optic Patch Cord type is as follows:
Color
Yellow single-mode optical fiber
Oren multi-mode optical fiber
AquaOptimal laser micrometer 50/125 10 giga multi-mode optical fiber
Gray Color code multi-mode optical fiber, which is not used anymore
Sometimes blue is still used in the model design
Connectors
In fiber-optic cable, terminal or tip connection is also called connectors, usually have a standard type such as FC, SC, ST, LC, or MTRJ. In addition, the connectors are usually uses specific colors in order as follows:
Color
Blue is the most common use to single-mode optical fiber.
Green is no longer used for multi-mode optical fiber
Black -
Gray, cream multi-mode optical fiber
White - Red Special Use
